This moon mission challenge by NASA offered more than Rs. 80 crore in cash.

In an effort to increase long-term viability for upcoming lunar missions, NASA is giving inventors worldwide a huge prize. The LunaRecycle Challenge is a worldwide competition with a prize fund of more than Rs. 80 crore (about $3 million), according to the space agency.

Finding creative recycling technologies that can efficiently handle the waste produced during a long stay on the moon is the aim of the task.

As future moon missions are expected to last longer than ever, effective resource management is important. NASA is seeking people or groups with the ability to create systems that can recycle food waste, packaging, and other trash that travelers may collect. In a hostile lunar environment, where resource resupply is expensive and difficult to arrange, the solutions must be workable.

Participants from all over the world, including scientists, engineers, and innovative problem-solvers from many disciplines, are welcome to enter the LunaRecycle Challenge. Through crowd-funding solutions, NASA intends to generate a variety of ideas that will support future space exploration’s long-term viability

NASA is accepting proposals from anyone interested in participating in the challenge; the top ideas will have a chance to engage in the Rs. 80 crore reward.
