Dubai could quickly turn into a spectacular cricket face-off between Pakistan and India. A fresh plan aims to melt the icy chill between the two cricketing powerhouses.
The PCB, or Pakistan Cricket Board, has brought forth an idea. They want to host games between two teams in the UAE, the United Arab Emirates. This idea would only occur during tournaments put on by the ICC. The ICC, or International Cricket Council, organizes these tournaments. The PCB wants to start with the ICC Champions Trophy, held in 2025. The plan is to set a neutral location for the three years following.
The PCB shared its concept with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Indian cricket officials, hoping for unanimous consent. They highlighted that the concept is not for monetary profits but to foster reverence and stimulate cooperation.
Talks continue, and we expect a decision soon on future ICC events. This idea is seen as a method to restart the famous cricket competition. It’s intended to overcome the hurdles of arranging games in each other’s countries, both logistical and political.
