UAE Bad News for Visa Applicants!

visa application in UAE

By extending its visa amnesty program until December 31, 2024, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) gives people with broken residency restrictions more opportunity to normalize their status. The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) made the announcement, giving those who must establish their residency status in the nation a two-month reprieve.

UAE Extends Amnesty for Offenders in Honor of 53rd Union Day

Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the ICP, said the extension, which aligns with the UAE’s 53rd Union Day celebrations, is meant to uphold the nation’s ideals of humanity and compassion. According to Al Khaili, this last extension allows offenders to avoid monetary fines and potential re-entry limitations. Those who want to legally stay in the UAE can either get work contracts or leave the nation to settle their status.

A recent surge in demand, with many people requesting help at service centers as the previous deadline of October 31 drew near, was the basis for the extension, the ICP stressed. Al Khaili noted that this extension is the last opportunity for anyone who breaks UAE residence requirements to do so without suffering serious consequences. Those who continue to violate residency restrictions will face strong legal action from the ICP, which will also increase inspections and bring back fines for violators after the program is over.

Interest in the program has been high, and many people have benefited from it. Al Khaili highlighted that the ICP seeks to resolve any challenges that keep people from conforming to residency requirements in collaboration with partners in the public and commercial sectors. The goal of the agency’s cooperative efforts is to guarantee that people, including families, receive the assistance required to maintain their rights, protect their loved ones, and organize their residency.

Al Khaili informed everyone that there will be severe enforcement and extra charges for infractions after December 31. To prevent the effects of non-compliance, the ICP urges all impacted residents to take advantage of this last window.

The UAE’s dedication to upholding human ideals while preserving the honesty of its residency system is confirmed by this amnesty system.
