Thanks to a new function, WhatsApp users may now turn voice messages into text. This update improves communication, particularly in noisy environments or when voice messaging isn’t possible.
Over the coming weeks, people everywhere can access the feature. All transcriptions are handled locally on the device to protect user privacy and prevent data from being downloaded by others.
By selecting Settings > Chats > Voice Message Transcripts, users can turn on this feature. Just long-press the voice note and choose “transcribe” to begin transcription.
English, Spanish, and Arabic are among the languages that are currently supported by the functionality; more languages will be added soon. This latest upgrade increases access and provides a workable way to satisfy consumers’ increasing demands for interaction variety.
